The 3M™ Microfinishing Film 5mil Type E roll 472L measures 4" x 150' with a 3" core and features silicon carbide abrasive with 40 micron grit. This fast-cutting abrasive provides a precise, uniform, close-tolerance finish and is constructed with a high-strength polyester film backing resin-bonded for durability. It is designed for use on metal, plastic, paint spot repair, automotive powertrain components, and roll superfinishing. Typical applications include powertrain microfinishing and superfinishing. The product serves industries such as aerospace, AOEM, composite, general industrial, precision grinding and finishing, primary metal, and transportation and heavy equipment.
