The 3M™ Microfinishing Film 5mil Type E Roll 472L measures 4 inches by 150 feet with a 3-inch core and features a silicon carbide abrasive with 30 micron grit for fast cutting and precise, uniform, close-tolerance finishing. It has a high-strength polyester film backing that is resin-bonded for durability. This abrasive film is suitable for metal, plastic, paint spot repair, automotive powertrain components, and roll superfinishing applications. It is used specifically for powertrain microfinishing and superfinishing processes across industries such as aerospace, AOEM, composites, general industrial, precision grinding and finishing, primary metals, transportation, and heavy equipment.
