The 3M™ Lapping Film 261X measures 4 inches by 150 feet with a 3-inch core and features aluminum oxide abrasive with a 12 micron grit size. This lapping film is the standard in 3M's product line, consisting of precisely graded aluminum oxide particles coated on a 3 mil polyester film, designed to provide uniform finishes on various substrates. It is available in multiple micron grades, including 0.30, 3.0, 5.0, 9.0, 12.0, and 30.0 microns. The film is suitable for applications such as fiber optic connector polishing, flat lapping, and superfinishing and is primarily used in the electronics industry.
