3M™ Lapping Film 261X measures 4 inches by 600 feet with a 3-inch core and features 30 micron aluminum oxide grit. It is the standard of 3M's lapping films, consisting of precisely graded aluminum oxide particles coated on a 3 mil polyester film. This film provides uniform finishes on various substrates and is available in grades of 0.30, 3.0, 5.0, 9.0, 12.0, and 30.0 microns. It is used for fiber optic connector polishing, flat lapping, and superfinishing applications, primarily serving the electronics industry.
