The 3M™ Microfinishing Film Roll 372L measures 4" x 150' with a 3" core and features a 15 micron aluminum oxide grit. The film is resin bonded to a 5 mil polyester backing that includes a friction grip coating for slip resistance. This high-strength film backing and micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral provide precise, uniform, close-tolerance finishes, making it suitable for precision finishing of cylindrical surfaces such as automotive camshafts and crankshafts. The roll is designed for fast cutting and long-length applications, specifically fine finishing, powertrain microfinishing, and superfinishing.
