The kit includes notched shear-cut blades that hold material firmly in place, a ratchet and chain mechanism that allows for easy, progressive cuts, and is designed to cut EHS Guy strand, mild steel rods and bolts, and similar materials. It makes clean, square cuts with minimal distortion and provides increased mechanical advantage over manual cutters. A replacement cutterhead is available with part number 8613CK. It is important to note that H.K. Porter cutters should never be used on energized circuits, wire, or cable.
