The kit is designed for installation on potable water lines to reduce high inlet pressure to a lower outlet pressure, making it suitable for both residential and commercial water systems that require frequent cleaning due to sediment and debris. It includes an integral strainer and features a direct acting integral by-pass design to prevent excessive system pressure buildup caused by thermal expansion. The balanced piston design allows for smooth and responsive reactions to changes in system flow demand while protecting against inlet pressure fluctuations. The specifications include a maximum hot water temperature of 140°F at 100 PSI and a cold water rated temperature of 73.4°F at 400 PSI. The product meets various standards, including ASSE® listed 1003, IAPMO® listed, CSA® certified, City of Los Angeles approved, and NSF® listed to standard 61, annex G, with certification to NSF/ANSI 372 by IAPMO R&T.
