The Through-the-wall locking drop box is a heavy-duty drop box designed for installation between wall studs, adjustable to fit walls with a thickness between 4" to 10". It features a tubular-style key lock with double "D" configuration, which can be retrofitted with other cam locks, a piano hinge, and a drop slot opening measuring 12-3/8" long, capable of accommodating legal size paper or large envelopes. The drop box includes a metal baffle to prevent fishing into the drop opening, pre-drilled mounting holes for installation, and comes with installation hardware and two tubular keys. The reinforced double steel door offers protection against prying, while allowing users to drop items from one side and collect them from the opposite side. Designed for standard 16" on-center wall studs, the installation requires cutting the drywall between the studs and includes two removable and adjustable metal frames to conceal rough cuts. The maximum thickness of items that can be dropped is 1/2".
