The ASI® 8154 Recessed Specimen Pass-Through Cabinet measures 13-1/4"W x 6"D x 12-3/4"H and is designed to facilitate a convenient passage from the patient area into the laboratory. Specimens can be deposited through one side of the unit and retrieved from the other side once the first door is closed. The cabinet features a removable stainless steel drip tray for easy cleaning and an internal latch to prevent simultaneous door opening. It is constructed from alloy 18-8 stainless steel, Type 304, with an 18 gauge (1.2mm) thickness. The adjustable flange and fixed trim, which are 1" (25mm) wide and formed from a single piece, have no miters, welds, or open seams, and include a 1/4" (6mm) square return to the wall or partition. The adjustable flange provides an installation range of 1-3/4" to 5-1/2". The doors are attached via a full-length 3/16" (5mm) diameter stainless steel multi-staked piano hinge and secured with a spring tensioned interlocking mechanism to prevent both doors from being opened simultaneously. Each door features an international decal identifying its usage. All exposed surfaces have a #4 satin finish and are protected during shipping with a PVC film that can be easily removed after installation. The required rough wall opening is 11-1/2"W x 11"H, and the unit can be mounted in walls with depths ranging from 1-3/4" to 5-1/2".
