This compression spring is made from a comprehensive selection of sizes in music wire and Type 302 stainless steel, manufactured to rigid standards under strict tolerances. The music wire parts are zinc plated, while the stainless steel parts are plain; both types feature ends that are closed and ground. The high carbon steel music wire (ASTM A228) components are capable of being cycled repeatedly and can operate efficiently at temperatures up to 250°F.
