The Gardner Spring 36290GS compression spring features a diameter of 0.24 inches, a wire diameter of 0.022 inches, and a free length of 0.313 inches, designed for demanding applications where reliability is essential. This package includes five springs made from high carbon steel music wire (ASTM A228) that are zinc plated, and Type 302 stainless steel springs (AISI 302, ASTM A313) which are plain. The music wire components are manufactured to rigid standards under strict tolerances and can be cycled repeatedly, operating effectively at temperatures up to 250°F. In contrast, the Type 302 stainless steel springs provide greater corrosion resistance and can perform in environments up to 500°F. The ends of the springs are closed and ground for enhanced performance.
