The Gardner Spring 36020G compression spring features an outside diameter of 0.18 inches, a wire diameter of 0.026 inches, and a free length of 0.875 inches, supplied in a package of 5, designed for demanding applications where reliability is essential. This kit includes a comprehensive selection of sizes made from music wire and Type 302 stainless steel, manufactured to rigid standards under strict tolerances. The music wire components are zinc plated, while the stainless steel parts are left plain; the ends of the springs are closed and ground. The high carbon steel music wire (ASTM A228) can be cycled repeatedly and operates effectively at temperatures up to 250°F. In contrast, the Type 302 stainless steel springs (AISI 302, ASTM A313) provide enhanced corrosion resistance and can perform well at temperatures reaching up to 500°F.
