Installation requires a rectangular cutout in the door, and the kit includes a removable and adjustable metal frame to conceal rough cuts on both sides. The lock operates on 3 AA batteries and is easy to program, allowing users to select a 1-9 digit code. It automatically locks when the door is shut, and external battery override contacts enable powering the lock from the outside in case of dead batteries.
