The General Wire RT-66-D Root 66 drain/sewer cleaning machine features an advanced sectional cable design, catering to various cleaning needs with an included package comprising 11 cables, 2 cutter sets, and a tool box. This machine can drive 5/8" cables for lines up to 3" in diameter and 7/8" cables for 4" lines, allowing for quick transitions between the two without the need for adapters or tools. For smaller sink drain tasks, a drum accommodating smaller cables can be easily fitted. Operation involves feeding a cable into the line and sliding the back end into the machine, where the excess cable is guided through a tube. The sealed motor drives the cable at 400 RPM, stopping immediately upon lifting the handle to prevent additional torque buildup. When used with a drum, the drum ceases rotation once the handle is returned to the neutral position. The Root 66's design includes a wide four-point base for stability, interlocking tubular construction for durability, and internal plastic shields to protect the gears from dirt and facilitate cleaning. This unit comes standard with a ground fault circuit interrupter for safety, and it conveniently includes a tool box for storing the cutters.
