The General Pipe Cleaners electric machine, known as the Drain-Rooter PH, includes a power feed and a 50-foot by 5/16-inch cable along with a cutter set. This drain cleaning machine features a variable speed power cable feed and a variable speed motor, allowing for efficient operation. The Drain-Rooter PH can feed and retrieve the cable at up to 16 feet per minute, and its four-foot guide hose minimizes cable whipping, dirty fixtures, and messy floors. The guide tube serves a dual purpose as a feed control, enabling operators to feed or retrieve the cable with a simple flick of the wrist. The drum speed is adjustable by varying the pressure applied to the foot pedal, facilitating easier threading of the boring head through strainers. Additionally, the Drain-Rooter PH is designed for operation in both vertical and horizontal positions, providing flexibility to get closer to the drain opening. It incorporates a quick-change cartridge system that allows for switching to different diameter cables without the need to pull the old cable out of the drum.
