The H-B® B61800-0000 Durac® 1.000/1.180 Specific Gravity Shatterproof Plastic Hydrometer is designed for durability and reliability in various applications, particularly in the food and beverage industries. Constructed from optical quality polycarbonate, this shatterproof hydrometer measures specific gravity/relative density (g/cm³) across a range from 1.0 to 1.620 and features an easy-to-read black scale on a yellow background to reduce eye fatigue. Each hydrometer is 300mm (12") long, contains lead-free ballast, and is individually serialized, with a temperature standardization of 60°F (15°C). Furthermore, these hydrometers are manufactured and hand inspected by a quality team in a triple accredited/registered ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and A2LA accredited calibration laboratory, ensuring compliance with international standards recognized by ILAC/MRA. The product includes a multi-language statement of accuracy traceable to NIST and is made in the USA. However, it is important to note that polycarbonate hydrometers are not suitable for use with petroleum-based liquids or corrosives and should be stored in a clean, dry location, avoiding extreme temperatures.
