The H-B® B61800-0300 Durac® 1.200/1.420 Specific Gravity Shatterproof Plastic Hydrometer is designed for reliable measurement of specific gravity and relative density (g/cm³) across a range of liquids from 1.0 to 1.620. Made from optical quality polycarbonate material, these durable, shatterproof hydrometers are ideal for environments prone to rough handling and contamination, such as the food and beverage industries. Each hydrometer measures 300mm (12") in length and features an easy-to-read black scale on a yellow background to minimize eye fatigue. They come with lead-free ballast, are individually serialized, and are temperature standardized for 60°F (15°C). The Durac® polycarbonate hydrometers are manufactured and hand inspected by a U.S. quality team in an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and A2LA accredited calibration laboratory, ensuring international recognition by signatory economies of the ILAC/MRA. Additionally, each hydrometer is packaged with a multi-language statement of accuracy traceable to NIST. It is important to note that these hydrometers are not recommended for use with petroleum-based liquids or corrosives that may damage the plastic, and they must be stored in a clean, dry location while avoiding extreme temperatures.
