Gn 62 magnets feature a split magnetic surface and are constructed from non-shielded magnetic systems produced by casting. They require mounting screws made of non-magnetic material to prevent impairment of magnetic forces. To facilitate easier handling and reduce the risk of demagnetization, these magnets are equipped with an iron plate on their magnetic surface. The magnets are temperature resistant up to 535 °F (280 °C), while the red lacquered finish is temperature resistant to 355 °F (180 °C).
