GN 55.2 solid disk-shaped raw magnets are unshielded disc-shaped (annular) magnets suited for a vast range of universal applications due to their varied materials and sizes. These magnets are typically attached using adhesives. When used without an air gap, individual raw magnets have lower adhesive forces compared to magnet assemblies, where shielding and magnetic return can significantly enhance the force at the adhesion surface. However, depending on the air gap between the magnet and the mating component, individual raw magnets can exhibit substantially higher adhesive forces than those found in magnet assemblies. In situations where suitable retaining magnets or assemblies are not available, raw magnets can be utilized in combination with appropriate holding constructions to create highly specific magnet assemblies. These magnets are temperature resistant up to 390 °F (200 °C).
