GN 60 magnets feature a split magnetic surface and are non-shielded magnetic systems produced by casting. To maintain optimal magnetic forces, it is essential that the mounting screws are made of non-magnetic material. These magnets include an iron plate on their magnetic surface for easier handling and to prevent demagnetization. The Type AN magnet is temperature resistant up to 535 °F (280 °C), while the red lacquered finish is temperature resistant up to 355 °F (180 °C).
