GN 55.2 solid disk-shaped raw magnets are unshielded disc-shaped (annular) magnets designed for a wide range of applications. These magnets, which are typically attached by gluing, come in various materials and sizes to suit almost any universal use. When used without an air gap, individual raw magnets generally exhibit lower adhesive forces compared to a magnet assembly where shielding and magnetic return significantly enhance the adhesion force at the surface. However, depending on the air gap between the magnet and the mating component, individual raw magnets can exhibit substantially higher adhesive forces than magnet assemblies. In cases where suitable retaining magnets or magnet assemblies are unavailable, raw magnets can be paired with appropriate holding constructions to create specialized magnet assemblies. These magnets are temperature resistant up to 175 °F (80 °C).
