This inexpensive jib crane provides a fast and easy-to-install solution to a localized material handling problem where headroom is limited. The kit includes easy-to-install fittings that simply bolt to the column and beam, along with a "friction-free" 180-degree rotating crane that can be pushed out of the way when not in use. The fittings are made of heavy-duty steel weldments, with the jib welded to ensure proper bearing alignment. Axles are constructed from grade 8 bolts with lock washers and nuts, and lubricated bronze shoulder bushings are utilized for smooth operation. The crane features American Standard wide flange beams, selected to properly handle all forces and loads imposed on it, and end stops provide a positive and permanent hoist/trolley stop to allow for maximum trolley travel.
