The PBL15 is an insulated band-style drum heater specifically designed to fit a 15-gallon drum. This heater operates on 120 volts AC, drawing 1.5 amps to produce 180 watts, and includes a preset thermostat set to maximum product temperatures up to 145 °F / 63 °C (10 °F / 5 °C). When used alone, one band on the drum typically runs cooler than 145 °F due to its partial coverage of the barrel; however, placing a second PBL15 further up the drum can enhance heating efficiency and increase the maximum temperature achieved. The PBL15 allows for safe temperature control of valuable chemicals and fluids, providing a barrier of directional heat to prevent freezing and maintain optimal temperatures. Its innovative heat-spreading technology is designed to insulate and protect while maintaining heat in diverse applications. The heater features an insulated full-wrap design, delivers uniform heat to temperature-sensitive products, preserves materials without scorching or burning, and prevents waste by maintaining consistent temperatures. The PBL15 is certified by ETL to UL, CSA, and CE safety standards.
