The Norton 66252843219 BlueFire cutting wheel measures 4-1/2" x 1/16" x 7/8" and is constructed from zirconia alumina and aluminum oxide. This depressed center wheel, also known as a raised hub wheel or type 27, allows the flange/lock nut to recess within the wheel, making it suitable for various grinding and cutting applications. Specifically designed for severe right angle grinding tasks, it excels in heavy stock removal and rough blending. The wheel also enhances tool utility for cut-off applications. Suitable for large right angle grinders (7" & 9") as well as small or mini grinders that accommodate 4", 4-1/2", and 5" wheels, it boasts a life expectancy of 2-3 times that of aluminum oxide wheels and a 20% increase in performance/life, particularly for applications requiring fast cuts and minimal material loss.
