The Norton 66252843215 BlueFire grinding and cutting wheel is a 5" x 1/8" x 5/8 - 11" zirconia/alumina oxide depressed center wheel, also known as a raised hub wheel or type 27 wheel. This design features a recessed flange/lock nut that allows for use in various grinding and cutting applications, specifically engineered to tackle severe right angle grinding tasks, from heavy stock removal to rough blending. The wheel has been optimized for cut-off applications and is compatible with both large (7" & 9") and small (4", 4-1/2", and 5") right angle grinders, enhancing its popularity in power tools. It offers 2-3 times the life of aluminum oxide wheels and provides a 20% increase in performance and longevity, making it suitable for offhand cut-off, notching, and cleaning pipes and weld beads, as well as for foundry applications.
