The Phenolic Science Lab Tables with book compartments are designed for robust use in any science classroom, featuring a solid ash frame and side panel aprons beneath a durable, black, 3/4" thick phenolic resin tabletop with a matte finish that is highly impervious to most chemicals, acids, corrosions, stains, and moisture, making it comparable to epoxy resin tops. The work surface is crack-resistant and can be modified with carbide-tipped tools, withstanding extreme temperatures up to 275°F. Each table includes two book storage compartments measuring 14-1/4"L x 12-3/4"D x 4"H, which can be concealed with the provided side-panel aprons. The robust legs are spot-welded to the frame and feature metal-on-metal double-bolt assemblies on 13-gauge steel corner braces for optimal stability.
