Expanding on our current thermoelectric (Peltier) refrigerated incubators, the SHEL LAB® Drosophila units utilize day/night controls along with LED lighting to provide an excellent environment for Drosophila culture. The cabinets are designed with a mechanical convection system to ensure gentle and even air distribution. A programmable day/night temperature limit control ensures a proper and safe environment. Because they have no refrigerant gases, there is no worry about specially-treated evaporator coils or gas leaks, and you never have to run a defrost cycle. The energy saving thermoelectric cooling system provides improved temperature uniformity and up to 78% less power than traditional compressor-based models. The units are equipped with a microprocessor control system, P.I.D. temperature control, LED temperature and time display, interior electrical outlet, fan assisted/forced-air circulation, and include a 24-month limited warranty. They are also certified to current global safety standards.
