Shel Lab® Peltier-chilled incubators utilize innovative thermoelectric cooling technology, which eliminates the need for a refrigeration compressor or halogenated gases, resulting in up to 71% less power consumption compared to alternative models and a 75% reduction in room air conditioning loads. The high-capacity shelves are designed to prevent sagging, and the incubators meet APHA specifications for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD). Key features include a mechanical convection system for even air distribution, a digital temperature set controller, over temperature limit control, and a digital temperature display. Additionally, a one amp interior outlet allows the use of shakers, stirrers, roller bottles, or other apparatus. The units come with adjustable leveling feet and are equipped with a microprocessor control system, P.I.D. temperature control, an LED temperature display, fan-assisted/forced-air circulation, and a 24-month limited warranty. These low temperature incubators are suitable for testing sewage and wastewater, along with other low and room temperature applications.
