Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. This milling machine features Jet-designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for increased rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box that houses an E-stop for operator convenience, and a machine base designed for easy leveling without raising the unit. An automatic oiler releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, while a heavy-duty spindle brake enhances safety by stopping the spindle and interrupting power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back of the mill includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. It is CSA/CUS certified, with class 7 spindle bearings supporting maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications, and the internally cooled spindle head extends bearing, belt, and motor life. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for superior accuracy, and the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration and ensure smooth movements. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Newall DP700, three-axis (quill), powerfeed for X and Y-axis, spindle taper of R-8, table size of 10 x 50 inches, quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and adjustable quill down feed rates.
