The product is a complex chemical compound in the form of a very fine powder, specifically designed to be mixed with alcohol and brushed onto the weld joint. It is formulated to shield the back of the weld joint from oxygen, dissipate heat, and minimize unwanted oxides. This compound effectively cleans the surface of the metal, aids in the flow of filler metal over the base metal, and forms a protective barrier to prevent re-oxidation and heat scale. It can be used on stainless steel, precipitation hardening steel, chrome-moly steel, and alloy steels with nickel content less than 25%.
