The two-part tags are designed to enhance operational control and record-keeping by allowing workers to retain the stubs after attaching the tags, which can later be submitted to managers for verification. Constructed from B-851 rigid economy polyester with brass grommets, these tags exceed OSHA's 50 lb pull force requirement for lockout devices. They feature a textured write-on surface that accommodates authorized signatures, dates, and other special instructions. Each part of the perforated tag contains matching identification numbers to further improve operational control and record-keeping. The lockout tags are marked with "Danger: Equipment Lockout."
