The lockout kit features a polycarbonate, compact hasp designed with two rotating halves measuring 3" in diameter and 1 1/2" thick, accompanied by a 6-ft red plastic-coated steel cable. Its visible red octagon shape serves to reinforce the lockout stop situation. The setup allows the user to run the cable through various devices, locking them out by cinching the cable with a quick twist of the hasp. A short 15° turn of the hasp halves secures the cable in place, while a pin holds the rotating halves securely, aligning with four padlock holes to accommodate up to four padlocks (sold separately) and lockout tags. This lockout solution complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147, ensuring it meets safety standards. When the lockout situation is resolved, the user can easily release the system by removing the padlock(s), pushing in the pin, twisting the device in the opposite direction, and pulling out the cable.
