The power cord lockout kit is designed to prevent unauthorized or accidental plug-in of power cords leading to equipment and machinery. It features a tamper-resistant, hinge-style design that completely encloses the plug, allowing for secure locking through the side opening with a padlock (sold separately). To effectively lock out the power cord, users can secure it with a padlock and a lockout tag, rendering the plug unusable. The case is constructed from all plastic materials and is shaped in a universal "Stop" octagon configuration in safety red. It accommodates most 110, 220, 550, or 600 VAC plugs with dimensions up to 2 1/2"H x 2 1/2"W x 5 1/2"L and cords with a diameter of up to 1". The overall size of the lockout device is 3"H x 3"W x 6"L.
