Constructed with torsion springs, this surface mount unit is made of 1/4-inch diamond plate painted bright yellow for enhanced visibility. With a rise of 3 inches, it functions as a built-in speed bump, and it is crucial to use warning signs in conjunction with the traffic spikes to alert drivers of the one-way traffic lane condition. Speed bumps must always accompany the traffic spikes, as speeds exceeding 5 mph over the spikes can result in tire damage and excessive wear on the spike system.
