The Tripp Lite IS500 is a 500W isolation transformer designed to provide complete line isolation, continuous noise filtering, and enhanced common mode surge suppression. This model features an internal low-impedance isolation transformer component with a Faraday shield that ensures 100% isolation from the input AC line. It includes secondary neutral to ground bonding to eliminate common mode noise, offering an isolated ground reference for sensitive equipment, which serves as a cost-effective alternative to dedicated circuit installations and site electrical upgrades. The transformer effectively removes EMI/RFI noise, utility switching transients, and background spikes from on-site loads, as well as utility or lightning-related surge conditions. The device incorporates additional surge suppression components at both the line input and transformer output, enabling continuous line filtering of power line noise across all modes. Its active transformer filtering technology features no wearable parts, allowing for the reduction of surges in challenging power environments to harmless levels, such as reducing 6000V IEEE587 CAT A&B ring wave and combination wave test surges to merely 0.5V common mode. The IS500 model includes four widely spaced output receptacles, a 6-ft power cord, circuit breaker overload protection, and a lighted power switch, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
