The 2-Port Solvent Delivery Cap Kit is a GL45 cap featuring (2) 1/4-28 ports and a built-in air inlet valve, designed for safe and efficient solvent delivery in laboratory settings. This kit includes 2 plugs for the unused holes (WF-1428-PLUG), while adapters for 1/8" or 1/16" OD tubing must be chosen separately (part numbers WF-AQ-1-8 and WF-AQ-1-16). Tubing is meant to be pushed through the ports to the bottom of the reservoir before the adapter is secured (tubing and adapters are not included). A key advantage of this cap is its integrated check valve, which allows for safe air entry when fluid is extracted, utilizing FFKM components that resist a wide range of solvents. The remaining wetted surfaces are made of PTFE, providing excellent chemical compatibility. The closed system design aids in reducing chemical evaporation and exposure to hazardous vapors, employing a secure fluid connection and built-in air inlet valve to maintain pressure equilibrium. The cap is engineered with 1/4-28 port threads to accommodate industry-standard fittings, designed for semi-rigid tubing with an outer diameter of 1/8" (3.2mm). The ports are angled at 10° for enhanced accessibility during tubing connections. To prevent twisting during attachment or removal, the cap features an anti-twist design where the inner body rotates independently of the outer collar. Constructed from inert PTFE, the outer polypropylene collar remains non-wetted under normal use and can withstand autoclaving up to 140°C. Custom designs and alternative material options may be available. The kit utilizes 1/4-28 compression fittings for a liquid-tight connection to flat-bottom port threads, specifically for 1/8" OD tubing, utilizing a two-piece nut and ferrule system designed for pressure reliability.
