The general purpose USCG approved Type I offshore PFD is an inherently buoyant lifejacket designed for maximum buoyancy for adults and children in rough offshore conditions, featuring 24 lbs. of minimum buoyancy. It is specifically engineered to turn an unconscious person from a face-down position in the water to a vertical or slightly backward position. Constructed with weather- and fade-resistant polyester and nonabsorbent polyethylene foam, this flotation device will maintain its buoyancy even if cut or punctured, ensuring many years of trouble-free service. It includes sewn-on SOLAS-grade reflective tape that meets or exceeds all requirements for commercial vessels carrying passengers for hire, and is equipped with the strongest stainless steel hardware available. This PFD is recommended for offshore use.
