Fowler "Economy/Workshop" grade gage block sets are designed to meet the needs of various shop applications while offering a wider range of tolerance compared to standard sets. These rectangular blocks are constructed from high carbon/chrome steel, fully stress relieved, and hardened to 65 RC. The blocks undergo lapping and mirror polishing to achieve a very low micro-surface finish. They exhibit a low coefficient of thermal expansion and are meticulously inspected for accurate size, parallelism, and flatness. Each gage block set provides .000050" accuracy, allowing each department to maintain its own set. The standard industrial sizes ensure complete interchangeability with all accessories. Each set includes a deluxe fitted case and a certificate of inspection that is traceable to the National Institute of Standards & Technology. Certificate of calibration is not included, but can be requested.
