The adjustable clutch style tap holder features a built-in clutch that allows the tap holder to "click" when the tap bottoms out, encounters interference, or begins to dull. This design enables the operator to easily reverse the motor and back the tap out of the hole when bottoming out or facing an obstruction. Additionally, when a tap becomes dull, the operator can conveniently switch to a new tap.
