The kit includes rubber gloves that are electrically tested and stamped with the initial test date, and are newly tested before shipment. These gloves must be put into use within 12 months of the test date, and once issued for use, they must be retested within 6 months from the date they were distributed to employees. They should be worn with 10-inch leather glove protectors to increase the lifespan of the rubber voltage gloves, although the leather glove protectors are not required to be marked with a date. These gloves are Class 00, with a maximum use voltage of 500V AC and 750V DC, and are rated for arc flash protection. The gloves comply with NFPA 70E, CSA Z462, and ANSI/ASTM D120 standards, Class 00, Type 1.
