The kit includes rubber gloves that are electrically tested and stamped with the initial test date, having undergone a new test before shipment. These gloves must be put into use within 12 months of the test date, and once issued for use, they require retesting within 6 months from the date distributed to employees. They should be worn with 10" leather glove protectors to increase the lifespan of the rubber voltage gloves, although the leather protectors are not required to be date marked. The gloves are Class 00 rated, suitable for a maximum use voltage of 500V AC and 750V DC, and provide arc flash protection. Compliance certifications include NFPA 70E, CSA Z462, and ANSI/ASTM D120, Class 00, Type 1.
