The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings such as doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features a 100% synthetic media with an additional antimicrobial agent applied to prevent mold growth, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design accumulates heavier particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, which results in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter has a low initial pressure drop, with initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, over twice the efficiency of traditional cotton-poly filters. The moisture-resistant 100% synthetic media makes it suitable for various applications and can contribute to achieving USGBC-LEED certification points.
