Mill drills are a lighter alternative to a milling machine, combining a belt-driven drill press with dual coordinate abilities for flexibility and efficiency. The JMD milling drilling machines feature a locking collet that prevents the cutting tool from disengaging from the spindle during lateral forces. The machines are constructed with a one-piece cast iron column for enhanced support and include a belt cover with a quick slide latch for faster spindle speed adjustments. Other features include a base taper for easier cleanup, a drill press angle vise, a UL listed motor, an extra large worktable, a positive quick-stop knob, an easy-to-read internal depth gauge, and a 360° head swivel. Additionally, the machines come equipped with a work lamp, heavy-duty power downfeed with manual fine feed (JMD-18PFN), a 1/2" drill chuck with chuck arbor, a drawbar, a drill chuck guard, an adjustable carbide facemill, and an optional mill drill stand (P/N 350045). These machines are made to order and possess space-saving versatility, affordability, and light machining capability.
