The Liberty 257 VMF sump pump is a rugged and dependable heavy-duty cast iron pump, designed with a powder coat finish for enhanced durability. It features a unique one-piece cast iron body and a quick-disconnect power cord, making it convenient for installation and maintenance. The pump is equipped with a durable vortex style impeller, making it ideal for basement de-watering applications. The pump operates with a Vertical Magnetic Float (VMF) that is magnetically controlled and functions effectively in a 10 in. diameter sump. It's important to note that VMF models, including the 257, 287, and 297, are not recommended for effluent applications due to their short on/off cycle, while wide-angle float models are more suitable for such uses and offer adjustable on/off levels.
