The N-Ferno® 6876 2-layer FR winter hard hat liner with mouthpiece kit includes a winter hard hat liner constructed with 2 layers of insulation and FR technology, meeting ASTM F1506 standards, along with a thermal mouthpiece attachment for full-face coverage. This lightweight thermal liner reaches shoulder length to provide coverage for the head, ears, and neck, fitting comfortably under helmets or hard hats without the bulk. Both the N-Ferno® 6882 FR hard hat thermal liner and N-Ferno® 6872 FR thermal mouthpiece feature a fire-resistant outer shell and lining made from a 60% modacrylic cotton and 40% cotton twill blend to withstand demanding environments, classified as CAT2 according to NFPA 70E, with an arc rating of 20 cal/cm². The hard hat liner incorporates four hook & loop straps on the exterior for secure attachment to the interior of hard hats, and includes pockets near the ears for regular-sized hand warmers (sold separately) to maintain warmth in extreme temperatures. An elastic strip in the forehead area keeps the liner snug against the face, trapping body heat and blocking cold air. The detachable mouthpiece design allows for airflow or removal when needed, with adjustable hook and loop closures ensuring a secure fit. The hard-shell design of the mouthpiece prevents it from being sucked into the mouth, providing ample breathing space and protection from cold air, making it ideal for individuals working in cold conditions across various industries such as construction, freight, drilling, mining, delivery, landscaping, and warehousing, as well as for recreational use.
