Forney Pro Series auto-darkening welding helmets are specifically designed for experienced welders and fabrication shop workers who engage in extensive welding tasks. These helmets provide a lightweight, high-impact, fireproof nylon shell and feature dual crown strap headgear with multi-directional adjustment for enhanced comfort. The quick-fit, 5-point adjustable geared headband with a sweatband mechanism significantly reduces head and neck strain during prolonged use, while an external quick-release button allows for quick adjustment of the headgear's angle and distance. The helmet offers a viewing area of 10.44 square inches (3.94" x 2.65") with high-definition true color clarity, providing a more natural viewing experience. It is equipped with four optical arc sensors that protect against arc flash hazards, along with a 1/1/1/2 optical clarity rating for a clear and uniform viewing area. Additionally, it features UV/IR coating to minimize lens scratching and discoloration. Performance attributes include an internal shade selector with a grind option and internal stepless controls for sensitivity (high-low) and delay (min.-max.), minimizing the risks of accidental setting changes. The shade range is DIN 5 to 8 for low amperage MIG welding or plasma cutting and DIN 9 to 13 variable shade selection (TIG operable to 2 amps). It has a switching speed of 1/25,000 per second and is powered by solar cells with two replaceable 3V lithium batteries (CR2045) and automatic on/off technology.
