The Edge-of Dock Leveler FM-2572 is a mechanical leveler with a usable width of 72 inches and a load capacity of 25,000 lbs, designed for permanent attachment to the face of loading docks at a height of at least forty-eight (48) inches. This leveler features automatic lip retraction that occurs when the trailer departs, eliminating the need for a concrete recess. It includes bumpers and installation instructions, with standard ramping at twenty-nine (29) inches and an optional ramping length of thirty-six (36-5/8) inches available for smaller grades. Proper installation requires a steel dock edge or approach ramp. Operation is straightforward; the actuation handle is placed into the pocket of the inner lip and pulled down toward the floor, allowing the operator to push the handle forward until the lip rests on the truck bed. As the trailer departs, the lip automatically retracts behind the bumper face, ensuring safety and efficiency.
