Forklift extensions are designed for oversized loads and can be easily installed onto existing forks, fitting standard fork thicknesses. It is important to note that OSHA requires contacting the manufacturer of your forklift for written approval before using any forklift attachment. Additionally, OSHA standards dictate that the length of fork extensions must not exceed the lift truck fork length by more than 50%. For example, fork extensions used on 48" lift truck forks should not exceed 72".
