The ShockWatch® RFID impact indicators provide an effective impact monitoring program that minimizes damage from mishandling while refining supply chain processes, ultimately driving down costs and maintaining an electronic record of relevant information. These single-use, tamperproof devices are field armable and feature a visual indicator that turns red upon impact, enabling immediate recognition of mishandling. They can be scanned with standard UHF readers, utilizing passive RFID technology, which eliminates concerns about battery life. The indicators help isolate inventory for inspection if activation occurs and allow unharmed shipments to be moved into saleable inventory. Additionally, these devices act as a visual deterrent against mishandling, reduce receiving times, and assist in identifying trouble spots within the supply chain, covering production, transportation, and storage phases.
