The safety ring's design, along with the molded seal, creates a vacuum seal around the tube. These fittings are available with various thread types, including SwiftFit, UNF, PTF, NPTF, BSPT, and BSPP. All straight fittings are designed for tightening with an Allen wrench due to the internal hex design, allowing for use in confined spaces where an open-end wrench may not fit. Additionally, the rotating swivel elbow fittings incorporate a safety ring that permits rotation without compromising the tight seal.
